Water Spirit (水之灵) Performing Arts Center is located in the Pearl Square (珍珠广场) of Qiandao Lake. With a total investment of 360 million yuan and a building area of 27,271 square meters, it can accommodate over 1,400 spectators at once. The show "Qiandao Lake: Water Spirit (《千岛湖·水之灵》)" is created by the Qiandao Lake Tourism Group and is the first large-scale regular performance program in a county-level area in Zhejiang Province. It has become the cultural tourism "golden business card" of Qiandao Lake. The performance revolves around the theme of "water" and is set against the picturesque scenery of Qiandao Lake and the long history of Chun'an County. It integrates technology, culture, and tourism, featuring the artistic and creative team behind the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games and directed by Zou Youkai, a senior director of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. The performance lasts for 66 minutes and is divided into five acts: "Ancient River Path (《江河古道》)," "Qingxi Magnificence (《青溪雄风》)," "Land of Literary Excellence (《文献名邦》)," "Majestic Mountains and Rivers (《山河壮举》)," and "Water Splendor of the World (《水秀天下》)". Each chapter is highly independent yet interconnected, presenting a legendary tale of water. "Qiandao Lake: Water Spirit" is recognized as a Zhejiang Province popular science promotion base, a patriotic education base in Chun'an County, and a red culture education base.
