Hangzhou Asian Games Cultural Experience Sites Unveiled

In order to highlight the “new era, new Asian Games” style, practice the concepts of “Urban Asian Games”, “Brand Asian Games” and “Smart Asian Games”, display the quintessence of excellent traditional culture and help build the cultural highland of the times, recently, Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism has unveiled the list of 2021 “Hangzhou Asian Games Cultural Experience Sites” according to the “Outline of Hangzhou Municipal Asian Games Urban Action Plan” and annual task requirements. After procedures of preliminary review, citizen voting, field inspection, expert review, and publicity, 50 sites including Hangzhou Huqingyutang Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Museum, Liangzhu Culture Experience (the Archeological Ruins of Liangzhu Ancient City and Liangzhu Museum) and Louta Ancient Town made the list.

The selected 50 experience sites cover various aspects of Hangzhou, including history, culture, digital economy, smart manufacturing, intangible cultural heritage, sports, and health. They possess the cultural, leading, and experience-based advantages and special features, which will allow citizens, tourists, and foreigners to enjoy the "unique charm and distinctive wonderfulness" of Hangzhou in many ways.

These experience sites that can stand for Hangzhou, display the charm of Hangzhou and narrate better “Hangzhou stories” will also spread the urban brand of “cultural Hangzhou” and serve the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The "Hangzhou Asian Games Cultural Experience Sites" will be included in the publicity and promotion system of Hangzhou Culture and Tourism and will be linked to the official platform "smart Hangzhou 2022" through the reservation and display function of the Asian Games Cultural Experience Sites. There are also the upcoming bilingual e-books in Chinese and English and the “Asian Games Culture Experience Sites” Theme Video in cooperation with the Hangzhou LGD Big Goose E-sports team, so stay tuned!
