Introduction
Situated by the Grand Canal in north Hangzhou, Tangqi Ancient Town tops “Ten Renowned Ancient Towns of Jiangnan Area”. With the fertile land, favorable climate and rich resources, it’s the epitome of “Home of Fish and Rice, Land of Flowers and Fruits and Capital of Silk” in Hangzhou. It’s extremely famous for its loquats.
Tangqi Ancient Town by the Grand Canal
With the arrival of summer, the annual Tangqi Loquat Festival is around the corner. During the festival, special water buses from downtown Hangzhou to Tangqi Ancient Town along the Grand Canal will be arranged. Tourists can sail along the over-one-thousand-year Grand Canal to experience the feelings of ancient emperors and enjoy the unique scenery.

The water bus is available from May 17 to June 8 daily. It departs in Wulinmen Wharf (武林门码头) at 9 am and returns to Wulinmen Wharf at about 5 pm.
