Ruins of Taimiao

Taimiao (Imperial Ancestral Hall) is the royal ancestral temple of the Southern Song Dynasty. It was built in the fourth year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty with a big hall, seven columns, and thirteen rooms. Since then, different dynasties have expanded it. It enshrined a total of fourteen Song emperors from Emperor Taizu onwards. Ruins now mainly consist of the east wall, the site of the east gate, and a large foundation.
