Hangzhou West Lake Silk Umbrella (西湖绸伞) was created in 1932 by Hangzhou Dujinsheng Silk Weaving Factory. Now it has a history of over 80 years. West Lake Silk Umbrella takes advantage of the local resources, bamboo, Hangzhou silk, and Hangzhou West Lake scenery decorations and patterns to create a style with Hangzhou characteristics, and in the meantime, features exquisite materials, 18 complicated procedures and an abundance of types and sizes, which make it known all over the world.
In 2008, it was inscribed on the Representative List of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
