Set sail from the world of oil paintings, hoist the sails towards the Fuchun River, and finally anchor in the artistic conception of the painting 《Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains》.
Here collects the representative works of the oil painter Quan Shanshi in various periods as well as the original world oil paintings carefully collected from Europe. Visitors can not only experience the charm of world-class famous oil paintings but also feel the beauty of integration that oil paintings have developed on the eastern soil.
After stepping out of the world of oil paintings, immerse yourself in the artistic conception of the Jiangnan landscape painting "Clear Rivers and Distant Mountains". The Xiangshan Art Commune inherits the elegant charm of Jiangnan with its clear waters and mountains. The white building complex with clean lines forms a "Castle in the Sky". In this artistic and cultural community where mountains, waters, cities and villages are intertwined, there is an "Endless Art Carnival" created by designers.
When you are in Fuyang, it is necessary to visit the place where Huang Gongwang lived in seclusion until his death. The scenic area consists of Huang Gongwang's Folklore Town, Huang Gongwang Memorial Hall, the place where Huang Gongwang built his cottage and the Subtropical Botanical Garden. It is the actual location depicted in the famous painting "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains". Walk along the stone paths in the bamboo forest and encounter old stone houses deep in the thick forest. Everywhere is thick with trees, with bright mountains and clear waters, which can heal your soul.
The Water Sports Center will host competitions and training for rowing, canoeing (including flatwater and slalom) events. The design of the venue is inspired by the landscape forms in the painting "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains". The main body of the building is shaped like the undulations of mountains, and the landscape is adjacent to the North Branch River. The "water" culture is reflected through smooth paving lines. The night view here is especially wonderful. The super-large water curtain that is thirty meters high, combined with the lighting special effects on both sides of the North Branch River, will surely amaze you. Chuangyi Road, Zhuantang Street, Xihu District.
Take the Grand Canal Asian Games Park as the destination and enjoy the ancient and modern charm of the Grand Canal all along the way.
Take a stroll around this new landmark by the canal and explore how the industrial essence of the canal oil depot complex seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment. Circular holes have been chiseled out on the original oil tanks, and rusty steel is used to form wavy red walls. The open-air warehouse has been transformed into the "Flower Staircase and Floating Pavilion". Designers have used lightness and transparency to dissolve the original heaviness and stiffness, making Xiaohe Park a leisure destination that combines a waterfront public space with a garden-style art and cultural space.
On this small bluestone street by the river, encounter the old dream of Jiangnan hidden in the busy city. This old street with a slow and healing lifestyle features river ports that are closely related to the past lives of local residents, century-old workshops that retain an ancient charm, and fresh and artistic small shops. It allows people to return to a leisurely and slow pace and quietly experience the daily life of people living by the canal.
The oversized terrace inspired by the canal barges and the huge "piano staircase" that connects the entire park are intuitive expressions of the elements of "canal" and "music" in architectural design. You can enjoy the magnificent view of the thousand-year-old canal on the top terrace, admire the art space in the sunken open-air square, and even come across music performances and themed exhibitions by chance.
The finale of this trip unfolds at the Grand Canal Asian Games Park, which is divided into two areas, the north and the south. In the north, a giant "oil-paper umbrella", an intangible cultural heritage item, serves as the venue for table tennis and breakdancing competitions. In the south, an enlarged "cong" (a jade tube-shaped ritual object) serves as the hockey stadium. Besides the sunken commercial street and sports areas, it also connects with the surrounding water systems, lawn squares and flower fields for sightseeing, allowing people to fully enjoy the natural scenery while doing sports.
Feeling the breeze from the Qiantang River and watching how the "Lotus" blooms.
The first stop heads straight for the main venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games located on the south bank of the Qiantang River, also known as the "Big Lotus". It is composed of 28 large petals and 27 small petals. The blank spaces between the petals are similar to the scenic windows in traditional Chinese architecture. Its dynamic and elegant shape is inspired by the texture and romance of Hangzhou silk. The architectural form stems from the movement of the Qiantang River water and also seems to be blooming as if being blown by the river breeze.
After seeing the "Big Lotus", you can come to the "Small Lotus" through the connected second-floor platform. This is the tennis stadium for the Asian Games. Its shape echoes that of the Olympic Sports Center, just like two lotus flowers blooming side by side, full of the charm of Jiangnan. The "petal" roof can rotate, open and close according to the weather conditions, combining a sense of technology with beauty.
Besides the "Big Lotus" and "Small Lotus" by the river, there are also all kinds of birds, flowers and other elements in embroidery. Hangzhou embroidery is one of the traditional ethnic handicrafts and reached its peak during the Southern Song Dynasty. The Inheritance Institute conducts teaching, display and experience activities for Hangzhou embroidery (a provincial intangible cultural heritage project) all year round. People can experience the craftsmanship features that combine colored thread embroidery and gold plate embroidery in an elegantly decorated environment and inherit the craftsmanship spirit shown in every stitch.
