"Hangzhou's Roller Coaster" has been upgraded! On August 15, Hangzhou officially launched two night tour buses.
One of the routes, "Urban Roller Coaster Pro," is a memory for many Hangzhou residents. This bus became popular more than 20 years ago. When passing over Yanggong Dike, the slight feeling of weightlessness produced by the undulating terrain attracted everyone to experience it, causing continuous screams, and it was dubbed "Hangzhou's Roller Coaster."
Riding it, you can experience heart-racing acceleration at Wengjiashan, as well as roller coaster-like ups and downs on Yanggong Dike. The route starts from Victory Theater, connecting 7 distinctive stops including Jing Temple, Manjuelong, Wengjiashan, Longjing Tea Room, etc., with scheduled departures daily at 19:30 and 20:30.
The "West Lake Eco Sightseeing Bus" has its starting point at the Victory Theater bus stop in the city center, connecting 5 stops: Jing Temple, Yuhu Bay, Maojiabou, Yue Tomb, and Geling, with scheduled departures daily at 20:00 and 21:00. In terms of vehicle design, the themed bus maximizes the atmosphere of West Lake night tour. The roof of the bus is specially equipped with the popular "squirrel lights" seen along West Lake, adding a touch of liveliness and fun.
You can book and purchase tickets by searching for the "Hangzhou Public Transportation" mini program on WeChat or Alipay, or scan the QR code on the stop signs to purchase tickets.
During the trial operation period, an affordable experience price is offered, with a basic fare of 25 yuan per person, and there is also a package of 49.9 yuan per person that includes the ticket and a limited-edition milk tea drink.
During the ride, staff will also give away small cultural and creative gifts such as hand-drawn maps and customized tickets.
