Hangzhou’s New Botanical Study Park: A 30-Hectare Green Wonderland

Hangzhou is gearing up to unveil a stunning new addition to its landscape—the Botanical Study Park, a sprawling 32.94-hectare destination that blends sightseeing with outdoor education. Scheduled to open this year, the park promises to be a hub for agricultural tourism and science education, offering visitors a unique thematic experience.

A Green Haven at the Foot of Chaoshan

Nestled between Chaoshan and Zhangshan, the Botanical Study Park will feature nearly 20 types of plants, including camphor trees, dawn redwoods, ginkgo, Chinese tallow trees, zelkova, soapberry trees, and cherry blossoms. With its lush greenery and vibrant blooms, the park is poised to become Hangzhou’s next must-visit and Instagrammable hotspot.

Designed to combine natural beauty with educational opportunities, the park will serve as a model for sustainable tourism, inviting visitors to explore the intersection of nature and science.

Chaoshan South Park Area: A Leisure Countryside Experience

In addition to the Botanical Study Park, the Chaoshan South Park Area is undergoing significant upgrades to enhance its appeal. Covering approximately 52.4 hectares, this area will focus on the theme of a “Leisure Countryside.” Highlights include enhancements to attractions like Haiyun Cave and the Four Seasons Farm, as well as the restoration of the Yao Yuqin Memorial Hall.

By the 2025 plum blossom season, visitors can look forward to exploring a completely revitalized Chaoshan Scenic Area, where history, nature, and modern leisure come together in perfect harmony.

With these exciting developments, Hangzhou continues to solidify its reputation as a city where nature, culture, and innovation create unforgettable experiences for visitors from around the world.
