On August 25, 2024 China Jiande 17°C Xin'an River "Summer Winter Swimming" International Challenge kicked off, attracting over 2,000 swimming enthusiasts from both domestic and international backgrounds to the banks of the Xin'an River.
This event featured participants from 11 provinces and cities, including Zhejiang, Anhui, and Fujian, with a total of 102 representative teams. Among them was an international team composed of swimming enthusiasts from the United States, Russia, Latvia, and Kazakhstan.
As the starting gun fired, competitors eagerly jumped into the 17°C river water to take on the challenge. The swift current of the river tested not only the swimmers' endurance but also their willpower to push through personal limits.
Many brave participants emerged from the water shivering, exclaiming, "This is exhilarating!"
The "Summer Winter Swimming" International Challenge is a traditional sporting event in Jiande. It has been successfully held for 23 consecutive years, attracting swimming enthusiasts from around the globe who come to participate.
