The Hangzhou West Lake Coffee Culture Festival at the West Lake Expo2024 recently kicked off at Yintai in77, along the lakeside in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou. This marquee event brought together 130 of the world's most innovative coffee brands, hailing from as far as Malaysia, Russia, and Germany, to showcase their unique specialties.
Since its inaugural edition in Shangcheng back in 2021, this year's West Lake Coffee Culture Festival marked its fourth iteration, cementing its status as a premier platform for global coffee brands to connect with Chinese consumers.
The 130 participating coffee brands treated visitors to a "micro-global coffee map" experience, presenting an array of distinctive coffee products that highlighted their unique skills and offerings. Beyond the brand showcases, the festival also hosted captivating events such as a latte art competition and a creative beverage mixing contest. Furthermore, the experience was further enriched by the integration of baking, craft beer, and gourmet cuisine, providing attendees with a multifaceted sensory journey.
The West Lake Coffee Culture Festival has played a pivotal role in driving the high-quality development of Hangzhou's thriving, fashion-forward coffee industry. In recent years, Shangcheng District has successfully incubated the offline flagship store of the leading domestic e-commerce brand "TASOGARE Coffee," while also nurturing a vibrant ecosystem of independent specialty coffee shops. In fact, the district now boasts over 800 operating coffee establishments, the most in Hangzhou. Additionally, Shangcheng has also aggregated enterprises spanning coffee equipment and utensils, bean roasting and sales, barista training, and live-streaming, fostering a comprehensive industry ecosystem.
