Developing the "Chinese Version of Universal Studios" along the Fuchun River

The banks of the Fuchun River, which are part of the broader "Three Rivers, Two Banks" region, are witnessing a new revolution in the integration of film, tourism, and education. On June 15th, the Tonglu County Government and Huace Group jointly launched the "Modern Version of the Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" — the China • Tonglu Fuchun River Film and Television Production and Education Demonstration Zone, a significant new development for the film and television industry.

The project is located in Jiangnan Town, Tonglu County, with a total investment of 6 billion yuan and will be built in phases. The first phase covers an area of about 500 mu (approximately 33 hectares) and has a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan. This ambitious initiative aims to transform the area into an international-level film and television town, a national-level cultural industry demonstration park, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Key components include a film and television technician college, a high-tech-driven film and television creation center, and a world-class destination blending film, tourism, and culture along the "Three Rivers, Two Banks".

The project plans to build 20 super film and television intellectual property (IP) shooting scenes and four major classic literature gardens. It will also retain the set pieces from one period drama production per year in the film and television base, continuously creating new popular check-in spots. The ultimate goal is to establish the "Chinese version of Universal Studios" along the scenic Fuchun River.

This comprehensive project represents a significant milestone in Tonglu's efforts to integrate film, tourism, and education, leveraging the region's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage to drive economic and social development.
