01 Embrace the Spring Sunshine
As spring slowly unfolds its canvas, Yuhang, with its numerous hills and mountains, becomes particularly vibrant during this season, making it an ideal destination for outings and leisurely strolls!
Anle Hill, also known as Baota Hill, is not too high, and convenient staircases lead from its foot to its summit, with small pavilions and stone benches for resting along the way.
Phoenix Hill, on the other hand, to the south of the city, boasts towering, peculiar rocks that resonate with Nanhu Lake in Yuhang to the northwest. The hill features a park with a 1,000-metre-long aerial trail connecting the scenic spots on the peak. From the viewing platform, you can enjoy panoramic views of the vast Nanhu Lake.
Standing at 869 meters above sea level, Lu'niao Mountain is one of the top 10 peaks in Hangzhou and presents a majestic sight with towering giant rocks at its summit. From the top of Lu'niao Mountain, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of rolling hills and boundless grandeur.
Pick a fine day and bring family and friends to bask in the sun on lush green lawns, enjoy sumptuous picnics or engage in playful activities like kite flying to immerse yourself in the carefree atmosphere of spring.
02 Admire a Corner of Spring Blossoms
"I find the face of vernal wind in easy way, Myriads of reds and violets reveal only spring." From plum blossoms in February to a purple sea of flowers in May, the next three months will bring waves of beautiful spring colors to Yuhang.
When it comes to the best places to enjoy the spring blossoms in Yuhang, Jingshan Flower Sea is certainly a must-visit destination. Located within the Jingshan Scenic Area, the flower sea covers nearly 1,000 mu and features a wide variety of flowers, often overwhelming visitors with its variety.
In spring, the Jingshan Flower Sea not only showcases iconic spring flowers such as cherry blossoms, tulips and rapeseed flowers, but also boasts vast fields of snapdragons, cornflowers and poppies. From March to the end of May, the flowers in the flower sea bloom incessantly, adding a touch of "bewitching chaos" to the landscape.
03 Savor a Cup of Spring Tea
Spring is the season when trees sprout, grass grows and birds sing merrily. A cup of spring tea can dispel restlessness and nourish the soul. Even without stepping outside, one can immerse oneself in the fragrance of the grass and trees over a cup of tea. For the people of Yuhang, spring is not complete without such a cup of tea.
For locals, the most familiar and proud tea is undoubtedly Jingshan tea. More than 1,200 years ago, Master Faqin, a renowned monk, arrived at Jingshan Mountain in Hangzhou, where he founded a temple, cultivated tea and began tea research, marking the founding of Jingshan Tea.
A cup of green tea exudes a refreshing aroma and brings people the image of ten thousand li of green tea fields. In addition to the refreshing taste on the palate, the rich aroma brings endless anticipation. Brewed with 80°C water, the tea fragrance wafts with the steam, delicate and elegant, leaving one yearning for more.
