Cycling Routes for a Perfect Day Out

With sunny weather upon us, it’s the ideal time to hop on your bike and explore! Ride through the streets and alleys of Gongshu District, soaking in the beautiful scenery along the way.


Route 1: Wulinmen Wharf - Wulin Road - Fengqi Road - No. 9 Music District on Wulin Road


Distance: Approximately 3 kilometers

Starting at the historic Wulinmen Wharf, you’ll catch a glimpse of the Global Center and Xihu Cultural Square across the water. After crossing Huancheng North Road, you'll arrive at the vibrant Wulin Road area.


This route takes you through the lively Wulin Road, where you’ll find aromatic cafes tucked away in Haier Lane, the artistic and eclectic Tianshui Shili Block, and vintage shops along Shihuqiao Road. Don't miss the charming pocket parks and the music district along Wulin Lane.


For food lovers, this area also boasts iconic Hangzhou eateries like Hangzhou Three Sisters and Gold Pig, both of which have been serving authentic local flavors for over 20 years.


By 6 PM, the Wulin Night Market bursts to life, with rows of stalls offering a dazzling variety of goods and snacks. After indulging in delicious food, take a leisurely ride around West Lake to wind down and digest!


Route 2: Grand Canal Music Park - Canal Square - Jinghang Grand Canal Museum - Silk Union 166 Creative Park - Ledi Port - Dadou Road Historical and Cultural Block - Fuyicang Park


Distance: Approximately 5 kilometers

Begin your journey at the Grand Canal Music Park, located north of Shixiang Road, right by the Grand Canal. This area is quieter and features a dedicated cycling path. Follow the path southward, tracing the historic and bustling Jinghang Grand Canal.


For a taste of local life, consider a detour along Lishui Road, where you can explore Qiaoxizhi Street, Xiaohezhi Street, and the Dadou Road Historical and Cultural Block.


As you continue, you'll pass through the Silk Union 166 Creative Park and Ledi Port before reaching your final stop at Fuyicang Park, which often hosts free exhibitions for visitors to enjoy.
