Harvest Season in Hangzhou: A Stunning Blend of Nature and Modernity

In Hangzhou's Qianjiang Century City, the “Wheat Field CBD” has entered its vibrant harvest season. Here, towering skyscrapers stand alongside golden wheat fields, creating a striking scene where rural charm beautifully merges with urban life, blending modernity with tradition.


Where else in Hangzhou can you feel the fragrant breeze of ripening rice fields?


In the Yungu Talent Lounge of Xihu District, golden rice paddies contrast elegantly with contemporary high-rises. Meanwhile, on Chang’ansha Island in Shuangpu Town, over 4,700 acres of rice fields are nearing maturity.


The ancient city of Liangzhu also presents a visual feast. From November 2-3 and November 9-10, the region will celebrate its rice harvest, showcasing its rich agricultural heritage.


In Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, the air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming rice flowers. A harvest festival will be held from November 1 to December 1, honoring this bountiful season.


In Lin'an District, Sunyang Town features expansive rice fields where golden grains sway gracefully in the wind, creating a picturesque landscape.


Finally, in Meikou Village of Linqi Town, Chunan County, a unique variety of "health rice" has emerged. Developed over seven years by a research team from Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this purple rice not only captivates with its beauty but also offers medicinal benefits.
