As the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou is about to kick off, the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, in collaboration with the Planet Research Institute, has released the promotional video “What is Hangzhou.” From a geographical perspective, this video reimages Hangzhou, allowing both domestic and international tourists as well as Hangzhou residents to better understand and fall in love with Hangzhou. Over the course of 5,000 years, this city has experienced many ups and downs, turning its fate around three times. In the end, the West Lake is its beauty, the Grand Canal is its wealth, and the rolling tides of Qiantang River are its backbone. Generation after generation of Hangzhou locals have painted a picture of Hangzhou with 500 miles of landscape and built a Hangzhou city over 5000 years.
