Lu You (陆游) was a famous patriotic poet in the Song Dynasty. He worked hard all his life and made great achievements in both shi (a general term referring to poetry) and ci (the poetry beside shi). He used to live in Hai’er Lane, Hangzhou when he served as the deputy supervisor of military equipment and director of the Ministry of Rites. He also served as the governor of Yanzhou (now Meicheng, Jiande), and had a lot of connections with Hangzhou.
