Du Jinsheng

Du Jinsheng Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded in 1922 in Maojiabu by Mr. Du Jinsheng, a prominent patriotic industrialist in China. After nearly a hundred years of inheritance, innovation, and development, Du Jinsheng brocade has become the representative of Hangzhou silk with great national style and strong Chinese characteristics. Du Jinsheng brocades come in three categories: landscape and portrait brocades, decorative brocades and household textiles, and fabrics for silk clothing. It is known as the "Flower of Oriental Art". The Hangzhou brocade weaving technique represented by Dujinsheng brocade has been added to the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, and a museum dedicated to Dujinsheng brocade has been built, consisting of a Dujinsheng Brocade Showroom, a Brocade Technique Inheritance Hall and a Product Exhibition and Sales Hall. At the same time, a mulberry garden specially introducing sericulture knowledge has also been set up between the exhibition areas.

Special experience activity:

Hangzhou brocade technique: The activity, taking the black and white landscape brocade and the colored brocade as examples, introduces the whole design process of Du Jinsheng brocade from sample, design, embossing to jacquard weaving, and there are six small hand-woven brocade machines on site for operation demonstration and visitor participation.
