Tongjunshan is located at the confluence of the picturesque Fuchun River and Tianmu River, where "all the water is palish white, and the thousand-zhang bottom is visible," and it stands across the river from the elongated town of Tonglu. With two rivers intertwining and a solitary peak rising abruptly, it appears like an emerald floating on water, earning it the names "Little Golden Mountain" and "Floating Jade Mountain." Rising to a mere 68 meters in height, when viewed from afar on the waters of Tianmu River near the county town, Tongjunshan resembles a graceful and elegant maiden, shrouded in a misty allure. When seen from a boat gliding along the waters of Tongjun Pond at the mountain's base, the craggy rocks and ancient trees create an enigmatic aura, turning Tongjunshan into an ethereal old sage, shrouded in an air of mystery. This locale has become one of the tourist hotspots along the Fuchun River in Tonglu, drawing visitors to its allure. Ascending Tongjunshan, one can admire the interconnected pavilions with their vermilion walls and dark blue tiles, the flying eaves and upturned corners. There are simple and unadorned buildings such as Tongjun Shrine, Tongjun Pagoda, Tongjun Pavilion, Jiangtianji Pavilion, and Siwang Pavilion. Inside Tongjun Shrine stands a group of full-body statues representing generations of esteemed physicians. They venerate Tongjun Old Man as the progenitor of ancient Chinese medicine, thus christening Tongjunshan as the "Holy Land of Medicinal Ancestry." On the sheer cliffs of Tongjunshan, one can find dozens of cliff inscriptions, some dating back to the Tang Dynasty, bearing precious historical significance. At night, standing on Tongjunshan, one can witness the lights of fishing boats twinkling like stars on the Fuchun River, and the myriad lights of riverside homes casting shimmering reflections in the water, creating a hazy and captivating scene.
