In recent years, Lou Wai Lou hosted the luncheon for the spouses of heads of states for the G20 Hangzhou Summit in 2016. The 2018 TV series "Lou Wai Lou" was a hit on CCTV and became a hot topic of discussion around the world. In 2019, the movie "Xingfu de Weidao" (Taste of Happiness) used Lou Wai Lou as a backdrop for filming, becoming another highlight moment for the restaurant.
