NetEase Snail Library

NetEase Snail Library is located at the Beitang River Innovation Center of Binjiang District in Hangzhou. This library is a public cultural project cooperated by Binjiang District Government and NetEase Company.

The area of the library is 1800 square meters. There are more than 60,000 books in the library covering literature, art, history, poetry, architecture, travel, food and technology, aiming to provide readers with proposals of life aesthetics. Meanwhile, as the offline extension space of NetEase Snail Reading APP, the library gives full play to the advantages of Internet enterprises. Through the “infinity program”, more than 20,000 e-books can be read for free within 300 meters of the library, so that readers can read the latest publications timely. In the past year, the library has carried out 224 activities, with an average of 1.62 per day. These activities include lectures by famous writers, youth programming garden parties, riverside youth music night, lectures on manual inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, hackathon and so on.

The snail library is committed to taking books as the carrier, regularly planning and holding pan-cultural activities, cooperating with government resources to build a youth cultural activity base and a cultural volunteer system, assisting in building "Reading Science and Technology City" and cultivating citizens with the habit of lifelong learning.
