Hermitage of Huang Gongwang is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction located in Miaoshanwu, Fuyang. It was the place where Huang Gongwang, a famous painter of the Yuan Dynasty in China, lived in seclusion and spent his final years. It is also the real-life setting and inspiration for his renowned landscape painting, "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains." The Hermitage is an important component of the Two Rivers and One Lake National Key Scenic Area. The scenic area consists of the Huang Gongwang Memorial, Small Cave, Forest Park, Cultural Town, and Shaoji Spring, spanning 2.5 kilometers with a core area of 333 hectares. The forest coverage rate is 96.5%. It emanates a serene and understated ambiance, infused with a profound appreciation for poetry and painting, encapsulating the tranquility and fulfillment sought after by ancient scholars. This location is rich in cultural and historical significance, boasting picturesque natural landscapes. It was designated as a provincial-level ecological tourist area in Zhejiang Province by the end of 2019.
