Qiandaohu National Forest Park

Known as the "most beautiful show water in the world," Qiandao Lake National Forest Park is located in Chun'an County, in the middle section of the Hangzhou-Qiandao Lake-Huangshan golden tourist route. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and is divided into the Central Lake Area and the Southeast Lake Area. Qiandao Lake is an artificial lake formed by the impoundment of the Xin'an River Hydroelectric Power Station. It has a total of 1,078 islands of various sizes, hence the name "Qiandao Lake" (Thousand Island Lake). The lake is picturesque, with diverse and charming islands. Qiandao Lake offers a variety of meteorological landscapes, magnificent peaks, rocks, caves, and waterfalls. It has abundant forest resources, with a forest coverage rate of 82.5%, making it a habitat for rare birds, animals, and insects. Qiandao Lake also has a long history and rich cultural resources. Special experiences to enjoy in Qiandao Lake National Forest Park include: admiring the panoramic view of the lake from Meifeng Peak (梅峰), exploring historical sites and cultural landscapes on Longshan Island (龙山岛), experiencing Zen culture on Mishan Island (密山岛), watching monkeys play on Hou Island (猴岛), savoring delicious fish head dishes on Yule Island (渔乐岛), and experiencing traditional fishing methods on Diaoyu Island (钓鱼岛).
