The Southern Song Imperial Street was a major avenue paved during the Southern Song Dynasty. More than 10,000 flagstones were used, according to the documentary. The street runs for 4,185 meters from the intersection of Wansongling Road and Fenghuangshanjiao Road, through Chaotian Gate (now the Drum Tower), Zhongshan Road M. and N. to the intersection of Fengqi Road and Wulin Road. It was the central axis of Lin'an (now Hangzhou) and also the special path used by the emperors to pay homage to their ancestors during the Southern Song Dynasty.
There are 13 historical and cultural relics and buildings. The Phoenix Temple is a key national cultural relic protection unit.
