With a total area of 35,000 square meters, the Zhejiang Art Museum has 14 exhibition rooms of different sizes, including six with constant temperature and humidity. It boasts a geomantic and treasured site, with West Lake in front and Jade Emperor Mountain behind. Designed by Cheng Taining, one of China's leading architects, the museum has a local ethnic architectural style, with sloping ceilings in black and white. Most of the ceilings have glass to provide the most light.
