Sunny and Rainy Views from the Lakeside

Without taking a stroll along Hubin (Lakeside) Road (湖滨路), your trip to Hangzhou won't be complete. Hubin Road is considered as the living room of West Lake: it's the first scenic spot to welcome tourists who are going to visit West Lake. Located in the west of West Lake, it's the best vantage point to view West Lake. Seen from Hubin Road, West Lake on sunny days is clear, with rippling waves; while on rainy days, it is foggy and full of poetic images. Because of the unique views of West Lake from Hubin Road, local citizens named the attraction “The Year-round Scenery at the Lakeside”.

The music fountain along the Hubin Road, no doubt, is another highlight. There are over 400 nozzles in the fountain, 224 of which can rotate themselves at 360 degrees. And it can produce 600 water effects. The water sprayed from the biggest nozzle in the center can be over 60 meters high. The fountain comes with an enormous number of lights, capable of constantly changing the colors to make the fountain attractive and eye-catching.
