Crisscross Lakes against Cloudy Santai Hill

The scenic area borders Yanggong Causeway (杨公堤) on the east, Santai Road (三台路) on the west, Turtle Pool Scenic Area (乌龟潭景区) on the north, and Hupao Road (虎跑路) on the south. The scenic area features both mountains and waters. In addition, the scenic area is famous for its cultural landscape, especially for the national hero Yu Qian (于谦, 1398–1457) who was buried here. The scenic area combines the natural landscape and cultural landscape harmoniously.

Yu Qian was an outstanding politician, militarist, and national hero in the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) who enjoyed equal fame with General Yue Fei (岳飞). He is best known for saving China when the Zhengtong Emperor (正统皇帝) fought the Mongol leader Esen Tayisi (也先台吉) in 1449 and was taken prisoner at the Tumu Crisis (土木之变).
