National Wetland Museum of China

The museum is located beside the Xixi National Wetland Park and inside Xixi Brook, which is a business center packed with numerous restaurants serving delicious dishes while simultaneously boasting picture-perfect scenery. As it is the landmark building of Xixi National Wetland Park, the main building complex of the museum is entirely covered in green and blends perfectly into the surrounding man-made mountains to complement its environment.

The National Wetland Museum of China is the first of its kind. It is themed on wetlands and serves to collect, study, and display items while educating and entertaining guests. There is no better place in Hangzhou – or even in all of China - than the National Wetland Museum of China to learn about wetlands. In the museum, typical wetland landscapes across the globe are recreated to allow viewers to have a better understanding of a wetland environment. The beauty of wetlands is clearly highlighted and displayed through multi-media methods such as pictures and illustrations, as well as a circular-screen theater and a 4-D theater.
