The ancient town - Yanzhou is located in the eastern part of Jiande, West Zhejiang, and belongs to Meicheng Town, Jiande City, Hangzhou. It has an 1800-year history as a county, and has been a state for 1300 years.

This ancient city has been established as a county since the Three Kingdoms period. The government of Muzhou and Yanzhou was once located here. Three rivers meet here, namely: Xin'an River, Lan River and Fuchun River. Historically, water transport was highly prosperous in this city. In the Song Dynasty, it was said that “thousands of carriages and ships pass by every single day”. The landscapes here are extremely beautiful and have a long history of cultural heritage. The north of Yanzhou Town is surrounded by towering Wulong Mountain, and the south is close to the vast confluence of the three rivers. You can find archways in the alleys and old houses beside the roads. You can also explore the beautiful Yuquan Temple and listen to the chanting within the Buddhist temple. Within this ancient city, many amazing events occurred. For example, Yan Ziling showed us the style of a nobleman who was indifferent to fame and fortune. Furthermore, Fan Zhongyan wrote the "Ten Wonders of Tonglu County" here. The magnificent story, "Water Margin", ended here. Sun Quan, from "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", was taught to be a noble human here. The romantic landscape, respectable Yanzhou culture, and unique architecture create a splendid picture of Yanzhou Ancient Town in the new era.
