Founded in 1928, China Academy of Art is the first national higher education institution for fine arts in China, with the most comprehensive and well-structured discipline system. The Xiangshan Campus of the academy nurtures an artistic haven and is one of the representative works of Wang Shu, the dean of the School of Art at China Academy of Art and winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. It features a simple and dynamic design, with a rigorous and highly creative appearance, showcasing the characteristics of Chinese gardens with winding paths and changing scenery.
