Jiande enjoys a time-honored history and is the birthplace of human history in Zhejiang. According to the identification of the "Tooth of Jiande People" fossil found in Wugui Cave, Xinqiao Village, Lijia Town, Jiande, humans lived and multiplied here as early as 100,000 years ago.
