There are tons of taxis on the streets of Hangzhou, so taking a taxi to get around the city is a convenient way to travel. You can hail a taxi from wherever you are, even online.
Hangzhou Taxi Fare Scale
Hangzhou taxi drivers use meters as required by law. Prices start at 13 yuan for the first three kilometers, plus a 1 yuan fuel charge. The price is 2.5 yuan per kilometer when the distance is between three and ten kilometers and 3.75 yuan per kilometer when the distance is more than ten kilometers.
Tips:
1. Please avoid taking a taxi around 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. As taxi drivers usually change shifts during this period, it can be difficult to hail a taxi.
2. Please ask for a receipt each time you use a taxi, in case you want to contact the taxi company or driver at a later date to dispute a fare, or retrieve a lost article, etc.
