There are four railway stations in Hangzhou – Hangzhou Railway Station, Hangzhou East Railway Station, Hangzhou South Railway Station and Hangzhou West Railway Station.
Hangzhou Railway Station
Hangzhou Railway Station is also called "City Station (pinyin: Chengzhan; simplified Chinese: 城站)" by Hangzhou local people. It is a landmark building in Hangzhou. The station, an inner-city station, was rebuilt in 1997 and opened on 28 December 1999. It has two ticket halls, six waiting rooms, and seven platforms. Currently, about 105 scheduled trains stop here every day.

Hangzhou East Railway Station
Hangzhou East Railway Station was closed for improvements on 20 January 2010 and reopened on 1 July 2013. It covers a total area of 0.34 square kilometers. It is a comprehensive railway station that combines multiple modes of transport, such as high-speed trains, regular trains, express trains, maglev trains and water transport, all of which make it one of the largest transport hubs in the world. The station consists of five floors, three underground and two above ground.

Hangzhou South Railway Station
Hangzhou South Railway Station, formerly known as Xiaoshan Railway Station, reopened on 1 July 2020 after reconstruction. It is located in Xiaoshan District, about 21 km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, 18 km from Hangzhou Railway Station and 20 km from Hangzhou East Railway Station.

Hangzhou West Railway Station
Hangzhou West Railway Station was put into service on 22 September 2022. It operates 19 pairs of passenger trains daily and contributes to the rail transport of Hangzhou, along with Hangzhou Railway Station, Hangzhou East Railway Station and Hangzhou South Railway Station.
