01 Big and Small Lotuses
As the 2022 Asian Games approach, the Asian Games atmosphere in the Binjiang District continues to get stronger and stronger. Two white "lotus flowers" shining brilliantly on the south bank of the Qiantang River have become increasingly popular.
The Big Lotus is the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center, the main venue for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. Its design is based on the silk texture and textile systems of Hangzhou and its posture derives from the dynamics of the Qiantang River, reflecting the aesthetics of the East and the beauty of movement.
The Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center tennis center, also known as the Small Lotus, has a spatial pipe truss steel structure that creates a relatively independent effect for each petal visually, but in reality, it is an entirety.
When night falls, both the Big and Small Lotuses shine brightly with their night lighting, reflecting their beauty on the Qiantang River. They have become a "face" of Hangzhou to the world.

03 Xixing Ancient Town
Xixing Ancient Town was named after Fan Li, a great man of the State of Yue, who built a city here at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period to resist Wu. Historically, it was the gateway to the Western and Eastern Zhejiang, with rich cultural heritage and many historical sites. There are many great poems and essays written by Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi and other famous poets and writers in the past generations and abundant historical stories of Xi Shi's northward journey to Wu State. It is the source of the Eastern Zhejiang Ancient Canal and part of the world cultural heritage: the Grand Canal of China.
On the 960-meter-long Xixing Old Street Reserve, where 80% of the buildings date back to the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican China, there are old barbershops, wooden stool stores, tea houses, and the 1,000-year-old Xixing lanterns, as if you could still hear the sound of vendor touting back then. Walking on the old street's slab-paved road, the carved pillars and beams of the houses on both sides silently tell the prosperity of the transportation companies and docks in the past.

The ancient town of Changhe has a long history of 1,000 years. As early as the Wu-Yue period, there were already villages in Changhe, and a natural town began to form in the Southern Song Dynasty, and the basic pattern of the present-day Changhe Old Street was formed in the Ming Dynasty.
Changhe Old Street is composed of Ze Street and Huai Street, with a "丁" shape layout, preserving the appearance of the old days.
Built close to water and mountains, the buildings and courtyards are connected. With black tiles and white wall, they look simple and elegant. The halls are magnificent and solemn and the pavilions and winding corridors are exquisite and graceful. The carved beams and painted pillars are extraordinarily beautiful. These dwellings could be regarded as the pinnacle of houses in Jiangnan water towns, showcasing the splendor of the ancient town of Changhe.
