03Fuquan Tea House

Yongfu Zen Temple, built above Lingyin Temple, a famous temple in Jiangnan, is hidden in a lush green forest, so few people can find it. The temple is built against a mountain and it blends perfectly with the surrounding environment and the temple buildings and the forest complement each other.

Yongfu Temple has its own tea garden. Small as it is, it has a history of thousands of years. In the Qingming tea season, the entire Yongfu Temple will be busy with this tea garden. In the morning, when the dew and mist clear, the monks will come to the tea garden and carefully pick off the new Longjing tea buds. The picked tea buds are spread and dried in the sun and then fried at the entrance of the tea house. Before you even walk to the tea house, the refreshing fragrance of the roasted tea already reaches your nose...

Mingqian Longjing is the signature tea here. Through the transparent tea cup, the tea leaves are like orchids that have just bloomed, and they are fresh and full of vigor and look like flowers. The tea soup is tender green, clear and bright. Hold the cup up and sip the tea. It is fresh and fragrant. In addition to tea and snacks, the tea house also serves vegetarian meals: three dishes and one soup. The dishes are simple but delicious.

The Zen-like tea house, the excellent Longjing tea from the private tea garden, the warm vegetarian food, and isolation from the outside world...It is really wonderful to taste tea, practice Zen, and enlighten your mind here.
