On May 3, the Exciting Hangzhou · 2022 Qiandao Lake Invitational Mountain Bike Race, the first "Exciting Hangzhou" event in Chun'an Competition Zone, ended successfully.

Today's race featured two events: men's and women's cross-country races, each producing three gold, silver and bronze medals. The event was a test of the training level of our mountain bikers before the Asian Games, and an event to select outstanding mountain bikers to participate in the Asian Games, as well as a test of the services and facilities related to Hangzhou Asian Games in Chun'an Competition Zone to better serve the high-level comprehensive event.

The mountain bike race track in Jieshou Sports Center in Chun'an is about 4.6 kilometers long. It consists of the ordinary section, log obstacle section, stone obstacle section, mixed obstacle section, flying bag section and outer wall section. As it is located on the bank of Qiandao Lake, on some sections of the track, people can see the lake clearly. Therefore this mountain bike invitational competition is also called "A Competition in the Painting-like Qiandao Lake."

"This track demands a lot from the participants in terms of endurance and mastery of pace, and among the tracks I've ridden, I give this track a full mark." In today's competition, Mi Jiujie, a contestant who had won the mountain bike championship of the 14th National Games, had an accident that the chain of his bike broke due to too much force as soon as he set off. He was delayed by nearly five minutes more than the other athletes, and with his tenacious fighting spirit and excellent riding skills, he finally won the second place in the men's race.
