The blazing heat of summer in daytime has kept us from traveling. Only when night falls, it’s time to go outdoors to have fun. The Grand Canal is extraordinarily charming at night. On a dreamy summer night, you can enjoy a cruise on the canal to quietly admire the cityscape or tramp through a night market to savor carefully the vitality of city life. This is the most attraction place in Hangzhou at night in summer.
Grand Canal
The Grand Canal runs through the city, painting a stunningly beautiful picture of Gongshu District. At night, the canal is even more dazzling. Walking along the canal, you can see both the prosperous appearance and long-standing history of Hangzhou.
When you come to the canal, you must enjoy an evening cruise on it, which will take you through the time and space to read its history of thousands of years.
Starting from Wulinmen Pier, the cruise passes Zhaohui Bridge, Chaowang Bridge, the Imperial Pier, Fuyi Ancient Granary, Dadou Road, Xiangji Temple, Xiaohezhi Street and Qiaoxizhi Street, and returns after arriving at Gongchen Bridge, the southernmost end of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
The new look of Wulin, the past memories of the old bridges, and the moon hanging over Gongchen Bridge… the thousand-year old charm of the Grand Canal comes to life!
