On October 27, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the list of the fourth batch of national key villages for rural tourism. Jiangjia Village has been selected and it’s the only village in Hangzhou to be selected.
Jiangjia Village is the southwest gateway to Qiandao Lake. It faces water on three sides and a mountain on the fourth, and is a typical Jiangnan mountain and water village with a special landform of “a village in the lake, and a lake inside the village”. Surrounded by hills and having many islands in the village, it features picture-postcard mountain and water scenery, which fully reflects the landscape and lake characteristics of Qiandao Lake.
The moment you step into Jiangjia Village, you’ll feel that you are entering a wonderland with picture-postcard scenery. Jiangjia Village has successively built itself into a county-level agritainment characteristic village, a provincial-level tourism characteristic village, a municipal-level agritainment characteristic village, a municipal boutique guesthouse demonstration village, and a provincial 3A-level scenic village, etc. Inside the village, four major sections are formed: Chengdong (城东), Hongshan(宏山), Jiangjia (姜家) and Ganwu (甘坞). The main scenic spots and tourist resources inside the village include Wenyuan Lion City Scenic Area, Longchuan Bay Scenic Spot (龙川湾景区), Hanhong Moxiang Museum (翰红墨香馆), Kuiwen Tower (奎文塔), Greenway around Qiandao Lake and so on.
