1. South Lake Park
The South Lake is located in the west of Yuhang, with a water area of about 4.7 square kilometers. It is a flood control function area built for the defense of flood from Tiaoxi River in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
The poet Song Ao of Qing Dynasty once wrote a poem for the lake, which reads: "The endless east wind sends the sound of rain, and suddenly the spring color appears on the dike. The shadow on the lake moves with the clouds, and the mountains on both sides of the shore face each other across the water."
The South Lake in the golden autumn has a different charm. Its calm surface shimmers in the sun. As a light breeze sweeps by, bursts of ripples are aroused. The pristine natural environment has attracted a large number of waterfowls to roost here. Wild ducks swim in the lake, and from time to time, egrets fly up from the deep of the reeds across the sky.
In the evening and on weekends, citizens flock to the park to take a leisurely stroll, run for fitness, or rest and chat at a comfortable spot beside the road. How pleasant it is.
2. Dayu Valley
Deep in Yuhuang, there is a piece of pure land: Dayu Valley. Among the green mountains and crystal clear water, it has no noise except the chirping of birds, insects and chickens, and not a single trace of pollution.
If you want to capture the most flavorful shots of autumn in Yuhang, Dayu Valley is a great choice you should not miss. When autumn is in full swing, your eyes will be full of the warm red and orange and the clear water with leaves floating on it. It is such a peaceful and relaxing place.
The main peak, Mount Niangniang, is 400 meters above sea level, and its shape resembles a small Mount Fuji without snow, so it is nicknamed "Hangzhou’s Mount Fuji" by many tourists.
Dayu Valley is backed by Changle Tree Farm. Its untouched scenery is hard to find in the city. Dawn redwoods, red maples, ginkgoes, pines and reeds... All kinds of vegetation complement each other in a gorgeous and peaceful way.
3. Xixi Wetland·Hongyuan Garden
Xixi Wetland in Wuchang Subdistrict, Yuhang, the “Pearl of Wetland,” is equally famous with the West Lake and Xiling. Together, the three are known as the “Three West of Hangzhou.”
You can take a boat ride on the winding river courses, delight in angling under the shade of weeping willows, admire the beautiful spring scenery in early spring, pick water caltrops and view the gorgeous lotus blossoms in summer, watch red persimmons and listen to the rustle of reeds in autumn, and explore plum blossoms in winter. It is such a beautiful place that it attracts people to linger on.
"The breeze caresses the clouds, the oars are pulled on gently to find the lotus roots, and the blue waves are swirling with lotus songs..." Take a ride on the small wooden boat at Xixi Wetland to experience the subtle beauty and quietness of Jiangnan.
Wuchang has not only the stunning scenery of a water town, but also profound cultural heritage and a strong humanistic atmosphere. The Hong family culture and the culture of Wuchang Water Town have been passed down for centuries on this land.
The reconstructed Hong Ancestral Hall covers an area of over 1,200 square meters and has a traditional layout of three courtyards. It consists of a gatehouse, a hall of worship and a bedchamber, and displays portraits of the ancestors of Hong family of Hangzhou, ancestral tablets, family rules, instructions and pillar couplets and plaques.
