On August 22, in order to test the track of the Asian Games Roller Skating Stadium, Qiantang District invited professional athletes from Haining International Skating Center to carry out the first trial skating on the new track.
During the process, the roller skating track brings athletes not just the joy of sports, but also a wide selection of skating routes, which has greatly improved the match-watching experience of audience.
The Asian Games Roller Skating Stadium project is located at the center of Dongbuwan Headquarters (东部湾总部基地) in Qiantang District, with an investment of 0.48 billion yuan. The total construction area of the project is about 36,000 square meters and it’s equipped with the latest 200*7 m standard speed roller skating track of the International Roller Skating Association, and the 50*25 meter figured roller skating competition venue. It offers over 1300 spectator seats.
From a bird’s eye view, the stadium seems to be formed by the patterns of two “6” being integrated with and superimposing on each other, like a “whirlwind spinning top”. In 2022, the stadium will host two events of the 19th Asian Games, skateboarding and roller skating. By then, it will witness the birth of 12 gold medals.
As the most professional indoor roller skating venue in Asia, besides satisfying the needs of the Asian Games, the stadium after completion will also provide residents in riverside areas in Xiasha with another leisure and exercise venue.
Currently, the Asian Games Roller Skating Stadium has finished and will welcome the special acceptance inspection of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.
The blue arc-shaped track is all set for the games, waiting for the arrival of various roller skating masters.
