Brief of Longjing Village

Situated in the mountainous area in the southwest of the West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, Longjing Village is famous for producing top quality West Lake Longjing tea, known as the "No. 1 village of the tea town." Longjing tea produced here ranks first. Legend has it that when Emperor Qianlong came to Jiangnan, he went to Hugong Temple under the Lion Peak Mountain in Longjing Village to taste West Lake Longjing tea. The village has many tourist attractions including the Imperial Tea Garden, Hugong Temple, 9 Creeks and 18 Gullies, Ten-Mile Hiking Trail of Langdang and Laolongjing, among which the eighteen imperial tea trees inside the Imperial Tea Garden have attracted numerous visitors. It is refreshing to walk through the village nestled among terraced tea fields. If you happen to come here on a rainy day when the village is shrouded in clouds and mist, the green color just stands out prominently. It is indeed a natural oxygen bar. And there are many tea houses at the foot of the mountain, where you can taste the new tea of the year.
