The Scholar Park is adjacent to Nanshan Road in the east, West Lake in the west, Long Bridge Park in the south and Orioles Singing in the Willows in the north. It covers an area of 12.7 hectares. In the past, there were a Scholar Bridge and a Scholar Pier. It is said that there were scholars living here in Song Dynasty, hence the name. In 2002, when the attractions on the south bank of the West Lake were re-arranged, the Children's Park was moved out and the Scholar Park was built there with undulating grassy slopes, pine forests, and clear streams.
