In the past, there was a Zijing Street in Gongshu District, where there was a "Gongshu Park". Later, Zijing Street was no longer there. So was the park. At the end of 2014, Hangzhou built the Zijing Park on the original site of Gongshu Park. Same as before, the Zijing Park also has small rivers, wooden bridges and pavilions and there are more rockery, poems and inscriptions, orderly dotted among green trees, flowers, and lawns, enhancing the cultural atmosphere of the park and its role to be complementary to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
