Recently, Zhejiang Provincial Scenic Area (Spot) Quality Rating Committee announced that Jingshan Scenic Area (径山) in Yuhang District had successfully passed the acceptance of the national 4A scenic area. The “National Brand” of Jingshan Scenic Area has been upgraded!
Jingshan Town (径山镇) is located in the west of Yuhang District, in the core area of Dajingshan National Rural Park (大径山国家乡村公园), and is a provincial central town. It is rich in cultural and tourism resources, with a forest coverage rate of more than 70%. It integrates bamboo sea, forests, ancient roads, streams, and canyons.
In recent years, Jingshan has successively won the honorary titles of national ecological town, national 3A-level scenic area, provincial tourist characteristic town, prosperous tourist town, provincial beautiful rural demonstration town, and provincial eco-tourism area, and has been selected as one of the top ten “Beautiful Zhejiang” characteristic experience sites.

No. 1 Zen Tea Village
Jingshan Village (径山村) is located in the western suburbs of Hangzhou, the northeast peak of Tianmu Mountain Range. The village is surrounded by mountains on four sides with towering ancient trees, overlapping mountains, gurgling springs, and beautiful scenery. It has an age-long history and profound culture. The Sag of Tea, Lu Yu of the Tang Dynasty once traveled here and wrote “The Classic of Tea”. It is also the ancestral temple of Rinzai in Japan, the source of Japanese tea ceremony, and the origin and core area of Jingshan tea.

Dreamlike Shuangxi 梦幻双溪
The attraction, Dreamlike Shuangxi is located in Shuangxi Village, Jingshan Town. It stretches from Shuangxi Rafting (双溪漂流) and Luyu Spring (陆羽泉) along the bank of Shuangxi Stream, passes through the tourist distribution center, and reaches a 3.5-kilometer cycling greenway in Jingshan Flower Sea. It has a beautiful environment, with grass, stone forests, small bridges, pavilions and towers, light shows, etc., which is very suitable for outdoor leisure travel.
Changle Forest Farm 长乐林场
The beauty of Changle Forest Farm is mainly reflected in “fun in the wild”. It is a natural forest farm. There are a large number of tall pine, camphor, Torreya, maple, and fir, which are hailed by tourists as the “forest of colors”. Walking in the forest area of Changle Forest Farm, you will see the trees everywhere by the roadside that are decades old. In Ganling Reservoir (甘岭水库), the clear lake is rippling with blue waves, and behind the lake are mountains reaching to the sky. Jingshan Ancient Trail 径山古道
Jingshan Ancient Trail was built in the Tang Dynasty and has a total length of 3 kilometers. It has an age-long history and profound culture and is a unique natural tourism resource in Jingshan. In ancient times, Jingshan Ancient Trail was more than just an important transportation route; it is an important cultural route. It was through the trail that the Zen tea culture of Jingshan was spread to the world.
Jingshan Temple 径山寺
Jingshan Temple, founded in the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty (724-756 AD), is an ancient temple with a history of more than 1,200 years. Its address is in Jingshan, Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, and it has the reputation of “the first of the five major Buddhist temples in the Jiangnan Region”. The main cultural relics of Jingshan Temple include the royal stele of Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty, the three iron Buddha statues, the bell tower, the Yongle Bell, etc.
Shuangxi Rafting 双溪漂流
Shuangxi Rafting Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level scenic area and the best rafting resort in China. It is about 3.5 kilometers and takes 2 hours to complete. It provides bamboo rafting and kayak rafting, as well as night rafting, rain rafting, and winter rafting. In the scenic area, an ox cart will take people to the wharf of Lao Hua Yuan (Old Garden) where they can start their rafting. Along the rafting route, there is a ten-li (“Li” is a Chinese length unit and 1 li is roughly equal to 500 meters) bamboo forest, so it is also called “bamboo sea rafting”.
