The long rainy season in June and July this year brought the highest water level ever to Qiandao Lake. Long-term precipitation has also caused landslides in Mishan Island (蜜山岛). There are more than 100 meters of uphill trails that cannot be walked or have hidden dangers. In order to ensure the safety of tourists, Mishan Island was closed, and the operation of the island tour was resumed only after the completion of the risk elimination project this month.
That's right! Southeast Lake Area-Mishan Island will resume operation in December! After four months of repairs, Mishan Island can finally meet you again.
With the restoration of Mishan Island, from December 1, 2020 to the end of March 2021, the autumn and winter cruise routes in the Southeast Lake Area have been adjusted accordingly:

Southeast Lake Area
The southeast Lake area is centered on Mishan Island, with green mountains, clear lake water, rugged rocks and hills. Water, stones and mountains are the best. There are many and concentrated scenic spots, including Huangshan Peak, Tianchi Island, Guihua (Osmanthus) Island and Mishan Island.
Huang Peak 黄山尖
On the sightseeing platform atop, you will have different sceneries in different directions. If you look northwest, you will have a marvelous panoramic view of over 90 islands scattering around the lake and view the amazing four Chinese characters “天下为公(the Whole World as One Community)” which are naturally formed by these islands, especially the character "公", which is lifelike and magnificent, and fully deserve being viewed a wonder.
Tianchi Island 天池岛
Tianchi is a quarry site left by Lin'an (the current Hangzhou), the then capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, for building palaces by quarrying stones. It has been transformed into a high-grade cultural attraction consisting of Bailong Stele Corridor, Tianchi Guanyu, Four-fold Waterfall, Stone Culture Exhibition Area, Stone Tool Workshop and the first beautiful water in the world.
Guihua (Osmanthus) Island 桂花岛
Guihua (Osmanthus) Island, located in the Southeast Lake Area of Qiandao Lake, is the earliest tourist attraction developed by Qiandao Lake. It is named for its wild osmanthus blossoms. The unique karst landform of the island also earns it the reputation of "water stone forest". Because of the osmanthus fragrance on the Island, rocky and winding paths, in the 1980s, the Island was first developed as a tourist scenic spot, which was highly praised by tourists.
Mishan Island 蜜山岛
Mishan Island is a small island full of the Buddhism atmosphere in Qiandao Lake. Its area is only 0.36 square kilometers. There is a Mishan Buddhist temple on the top of the island, where the story of "three monks have no water to drink (a famous Chinese story which indicates that too many cooks spoil the broth)" happens. Some people used to describe Mishan Island as "Clear Lake, Green Mountain and Hidden Ancient Temple". Indeed, since ancient times, Mishan Island has been a Buddhist resort.
