Qiandao Lake Yunshang Stone Forest Scenic Area is located in the southwestern hinterland of Chun'an County, Hangzhou. It is characterized by “tranquil environment, mysterious stone labyrinths, peculiar-shaped stones, and dangerous landform” and because of its vast area and rarely-seen landscape, it is reputed to be “the No. 1 Stone Forest in East China” and ranks among the four largest stone forests in China.

The Myth of Xiling Xiling Village, the Stone Forest’s Version Shai Qiu

Every year in autumn, the villagers of Xiling will dry Chinese walnuts, red peppers, and corn in the sun (the custom is called Shai Qiu), which are elaborately arranged to be the pattern of a magnificent map of China. It is an ingenious way to celebrate the founding anniversary of China and is also the crystallization of the diligence and wisdom of the villagers in Xiling Village.

The Tianjian Bridge (天堑桥) is a wooden suspension bridge that connects two mountains in the air. It is about 160 meters long and 120 meters high (equivalent to a 40-storeyed building).
