Hangzhou Marathon Opens for Registration from July 31st

On July 24, 2019, Hangzhou Marathon press conference was held at the Shangri-la Hotel in Hangzhou. This year, the Hangzhou Marathon will be held on November 3 and there will be five competitions with a scale of 36,000 people. The registration channel will be open at the end of this month. A series of new highlights have been revealed, including the increase of the quota, the creation of the 2.0 version of the digital marathon through the linkage of multiple sectors in Hangzhou Alipay software and Alibaba economy.

Just last week, Hangzhou Marathon was honored the title of the IAAF Gold Label Competition by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), making it a gold medal competition of China Athletics Association, a gold label competition of IAAF and a member competition of Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. In order to meet the needs of more runners, the organizing committee has decided to increase the scale of full marathon program to 17,000 people, 2,000 more than last year. The quota for half marathon is 10,000, the same as last year; 5,000 for mini marathon, 1,000 fewer than last year; 800 for both couple run and family run. The starting point of all running programs is set at the Huanglong Sports Center except the couple and family marathons, which are at the Broken Bridge.

The 2019 Hangzhou Marathon will use the same running track as last year, with entry fees of 150 yuan for full marathon, 120 yuan for half marathon and 80 yuan for other events.
