01The Largest Chinese and Foreign Masters’ Sketches Exhibition

 

 

This year’s largest Chinese and foreign masters’ Sketches Exhibition, “Classics and Inheritance” is now on view until February 17th, 2020 in Hangzhou Powerlong Art Center (杭州宝龙艺术中心).

 

 

There are a lot to see during the exhibition, including some international influential art masters’ sketches, manuscripts and wood prints as well as abundant historical documents.

 

 

Among them, there are sketches and manuscripts by the famous Italian artist Pietro Annigoni provided by Quanshanshi Art Center (全山石艺术中心), and over a hundred sketches by outstanding teachers and students from Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia provided by St. Peterburg Art Center and Oreshnikov International Art Education. The exhibition gathers the sketches and manuscripts of Russian deceased art masters including Victor Michailovich Oreshnikov, Yevsey Yevseyevich Moiseyenko, A.A.Milnikov and Sergei Pavlovich Korolev, especially the ones of Korolev, a monument artist from the 1950s and 1060s.

02 “Burst & Development” The Cambrian Explosion Exhibition

 

 

Do you know how Cambrian creatures are named? Do you know how the early arthropods, such as the Chengjiang shrimp, the Haikou shrimp, and the Shankouia zhenghei, are related to what we call "shrimp" in our lives? The "Burst & Development" Cambrian Explosion and the Examples from Yunnan may be able to answer these questions for you.
