Impressionism Exhibition Gets Set to Impress
In 2016, Monet’s Impressionism Exhibition traveled to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Chongqing, and its visitors totaled 550,000. In 2017, Monet’s Impressionism Exhibition comes to Hangzhou.
 
Claude Monet, the pioneer of impressionism, was used to staring at the first beams of sunrise as it was here he composed the significant work “Sunrise, Impression” and found the art form, impressionism. His works have the power to position us instantly into a world filled with peace, gentle breeze, warm sunshine and fresh air.

Impressionism Monet Exhibition - Hangzhou

The exhibition will be on view from April 29 to July 9 in Xixi INCITY. There are two special factors about the exhibition, one, there is not a single painting in the exhibition, and the other, until March 31, the ticket will only cost 29 RMB. The 2017 Monet’s Impressionism Exhibition is richer in content, more accurate in its presentation and unique in its exhibition viewing experience.

Three Newly-added Highlights:
1. Under the 18th century–style roof which is made of iron and steel and on the French style railway platform, over 400 classic paintings of Claude Monet will visually appear one by one to the accompaniment of classical music. Viewing from any angle, these paintings show the ultimate beauty of light.

2. The newly added 100 sq m independent space is equipped with a 360 degree giant screen projection. Standing in front of you are famous impressionists and their works, which gives the viewer both a visual and mental impact. It overturns the static painting viewing mode and offers all viewers a chance to be inside these paintings and to feel the charms of centenary impressionism.

3. The exhibition will display works of Monet which somehow have ended in 25 cities of 12 countries, such as France, England, Germany, Spain, Canada and Portugal. Over 20 of Monet’s works worth 100 billion and above will be presented, and under recreated scenes, visitors will feel like they are traveling in between Paris’ Musée de l'Orangerie, Musée d'Orsay and Vienna’s Albertina Museum.
