Brief of Hangzhou Museum

Located in Wushan Square, near West Lake Scenic Area, Hangzhou Museum is close to Hefang Historic and Cultural Street. Covering an area of 24,000 square meters, Hangzhou Museum owns over 10,000 cultural relics, from ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy to jade stones, seals, and stamps.

First opened to the public in 2001, it was called Hangzhou History Museum and renamed Hangzhou Museum on June 9, 2012.

The relics housed in the museum mostly date back to the Warring States (475 BC – 221 BC) period to Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644).

Hangzhou Museum is open to public for free from Tuesday to Sunday. On weekends, there are free guided tours
