Qianjiang Tidal Bore Watching Resort is a place built for residents and tourists alike to view the splendid tidal bore of Qiantang River – the largest of its kind in the world. Every autumn, millions of people gather in the resort to witness this natural wonder, for which, an international festival has been established – China International Qiantang River Tidal Bore Watching Festival to offer visitors an extraordinary tidal bore viewing experience. The splendor of the tide is universally acknowledged. As early as Song Dynasty, the great poet Su Shi was astonished by the spectacular view and wrote a poem “Tidal Bore Watching” to compliment the view.
